First, a little background, I've been shaving since i was about 14 or 15 years old, on a regular basis, i think i was shaving like once every two weeks before that, but that's not the point, i've been shaving for a long time (and yes, we are talking about facial hair).
I first started out using the disposal razors since my hair was so fine, it really didn't matter what i used, i probably could have gotten by using a butter knife at first. and i would use those disposables until you could see the jagged edges in the blade. i'd throw it away and get a new one out of the package. then i graduated to Gilette Sensor razors. Those felt much better, and i couldn't go back to the disposables if i had tried. not long after that, I was introduced to Gillette Sensor Excel blades, and due to the fact that the price was not that much greater, i thought that they were well worth it. they had better lubrication strips at the top, and a nice little rubber thing on the bottom that strectched your skin nicely. it made for a very comfortable shave.
Now, I never thought that a razor could ever be better than that, and when the big hype about mach 3 blades came out, i laughed, i thought, what in the world could make a razor with three blades better than a razor with two, who cares? well, on my birthday, gilette sent me a mach 3 razor with a mach 3 TURBO blade. it also had coupons for shaving cream and more blades. i thought, heck, it's free, i'll give it a shot. the first time i shaved with it, i thought, that's a great razor, but didn't think much of continuing the usage of it. the next time i shaved with it, i had a bout 5 or 6 days growth, i was looking grizzly. now most times, i have to take my hair clippers and trim my beard before i can shave it off, but since i was already late for work, i thought i would just give it a shot anyways, and have bad razor burn all day rather than being that much later. so i took the mach 3 TURBO to my face, and if ya wouldn't know that it was the best shave i have ever had. i know will only use mach 3 TURBO blades, because they are worth every single penny you pay for them. on top of the fact that it feels better, they last longer as well. i got 3 and a half good shaves out of the first blade where with the sensor excel blades, i would be lucky to get 3 really good shaves, and most of the time, 2 was it.
that ends my review of the new Gilette Mach 3 Turbo razor blades, Go out and get one for yourself. !!!!

Aye, i've been using the mach3 for about 4 years now, and it's a good razor.
Did you guys ever use that blueish gel/cream stuff? It's sort of shaving cream, but a bit blue-ish and gell-ish. That stuff was pretty neat too.

and for the ladies of the house...i used to use silk effects....however, the refill blades were way too expensive...so I switched to disposables...they are the more expensive of the disposable kinds because if I use the really cheap ones I get razor burn really bad, mostly just under my arms. I used to know a girl that could get up in the morning and run a DRY disposable razor under her arm like it was nothing...If I don't use shaving cream every time, it's burn city. Just a little FYI.

I have used the same Mach 3 razor since it was sent to me, free, for my 18th birthday from Gillette...I don't think I could shave with anything else...Gillette should really pat themselves on the back for such a great marketing scheme...they send me one Mach 3 and they have been getting my money on replacent blades for the past 4 years...

I also am using the Mach 3 that was sent to me on my birthday. i used electric for years...but after i dropped my 4th one in the toilet (i'll explain if i must) i decided i had better switch to something a bit cheaper.
Alison uses the Mach 3 as well. It's supposed to be for men, yes....but she prefers it over that Venus razor that gillette has for women.
you should switch, italipino! Join us!

first, you must explain....
second, i'm just wondering if you guys (and gal) are using the regular mach 3, or the mach 3 turbo, the mach 3 turbo has added lubrication strips, and something else extra as well. if you have used both, what is the difference exactly, and is it worth the price difference?

Well...I use the regular Mach 3...when the new Mach 3 Turbo came out I gave it a try...shaving is painful at times for me because I have very thick hair...so I thought the added moisture strip would help...well it didn't...I noticed no difference whatsoever in the Mach 3 regular and the Mach 3 Turbo...other than like $5...since you say you have fine hair and it's easy to shave...and especially if you were able to use cheap throw away razors (which I could never do, it would tear my face apart) there is really no point for you to spend the extra on the Turbo...they are no better than the original...

well this time around, i had 3 dollars worth of coupons on an 8-pack, so it was about the same price if not cheaper. next time around, i will go with the regular.
